Tech Pack Example: A Complete Hoodie Tech Pack
This is a complete, filled-in tech pack for a pullover hoodie: 300 pcs in 380gsm 100% cotton loopback French terry with a small chest embroidery and a large back screen print, set out in the ten parts a factory works from.
The brand name and style number are placeholders. Copy the structure for your own garment, start from the hoodie tech pack template, or read the tech pack guide first; terms such as HPS, POM and PP sample are explained in the glossary.

1. Cover page
The cover page identifies this hoodie so every sample, carton and invoice can be traced back to one file.

2. Flat sketches
The flat sketches show the hoodie front and back with the hood, drawcord, kangaroo pocket, rib cuffs and hem, and where the two artworks go.
- Front: small embroidery on the left chest (as worn), see part 5.
- Back: large screen print centered below the hood, see part 5.
- Drawcord exits through two metal eyelets at the hood opening.
3. Fabric and trims (BOM)
The BOM lists every material in the hoodie: one body fabric, rib, drawcord, eyelets, sewing thread, embroidery thread and print ink.

No garment wash: the fabric is used as dyed, so the size chart uses the unwashed tolerances. Labels and packaging are listed in part 7.
4. Size chart and tolerances
This hoodie is graded from XS to 3XL around base size M. In size M the half chest is 58 cm ±1.3 cm. The table shows the 8 key measurements in this order's sizes, S to XL.

5. Artwork placement
Two artworks are placed on this hoodie: a small embroidery on the left chest and a large screen print centered on the back.

Artwork files are supplied as vectors (AI, PDF or SVG) with every color named by its Pantone TCX code. Each position is a separate decoration add-on.

Every color on the hoodie is given as a Pantone TCX code, so fabric, thread and ink are all matched to the same standard.

7. Labels and packaging
The hoodie carries a woven neck label, a care label and a hang tag, and is folded into its own polybag.

8. Construction notes
The construction notes tell the sewing line how the hoodie is put together, seam by seam.
- Hood: two layers of body fabric, 35 cm high and 26 cm wide in size M, drawcord through two metal eyelets.
- Seams: body, sleeve and armhole seams overlocked; cuffs, hem rib and pocket edges cover-stitched.
- Kangaroo pocket: 36 cm wide at the top and 22 cm high in size M, bar-tacked at both top corners.
- Cuffs and hem: 1x1 rib, 7 cm finished height.
- Inside: loopback, left unbrushed.
- Finish: no garment wash; trim all loose threads and press before packing.
